John Dickerson
Chief Executive Officer, Chief Investment Officer, and Portfolio Manager
John Dickerson is Chief Executive Officer, Chief Investment Officer, and Portfolio Manager at Summit Global Management, with primary decision-making authority on all Summit water investment vehicles. He entered the investment industry as a portfolio manager in 1968, and began focusing his interest on water securities in 1979 while volunteering for a decade as a Director of a municipal water utility. In 1999, Mr. Dickerson founded the first investment fund with a specific focus on public equities in the global water industry, and more recently created a unique private vehicle to invest directly in physical water assets in the western U.S. and Australia. He is widely recognized as the earliest proponent of specialized water investment strategies, creating a theme that has become increasingly recognized for its significant global economic and financial impact.
Mr. Dickerson graduated from Colorado State University and began his career in Washington DC as an international economic analyst for the Central Intelligence Agency. Over the years he has served on many Boards of Directors and advisory boards, and has participated extensively in private equity and similar transactions within the water sector.
